WHAT YOUR COACHES ASSOCIATION DOES:

​

 1.) Elect and provide awards for Hall of Fame members

 2.) Elect and provide awards for Coaches-of-the-Year for all divisions

 3.) Select and provide awards to Wrestlers of the Tournament at the OHSAA State meet

 4.) Elect National Coaches-of-the-Year

 5.) Work with the OHSAA to make rule changes, based on input from our member      schools.  Recent rule changes have been:

       a.) Uniform changes – two piece

       b.) State duals – from three dates to two

       c.) Change dual meets  from 1 point to ½ point

       d.) Changed state placement from TOP 6 to TOP 8

 

 6.) Award college scholarships to children of active members of the association.  

 7.) Maintain information/promotional website for coaches, wrestlers and fans.

RECENT PROJECTS COMPLETED (OR CLOSE TO COMPLETION) BY THE OHSWCA:

 1.) Created State Duals and collaborated with OHSAA to create statewide event

 2.) Created Academic All-Ohio to Individuals and now to TEAMS (2018)

 3.) Collaborate with OHSAA and state officials associations for long-term projects  promoting our sport and events. Currently we are working on competing phase 2 of the  State Banner Project

 4.) Constantly working to improve the State Coaches Clinic. Recent revisions:

        a.) Arrange Group Discounted Rate for State Coaches Clinic.

        b.) Work with OSU to improve State Coaches Clinic based on feedback from         association helped cut cost of 2018 Clinic by $25
